Cocoa butter on scars?

i have 4 or 5 visible scars on my arm from self injury. a couple are still a little red, but most are brown. I've been putting lemon juice and honey on them for the past 2 days, and its helping a little, but i heard cocoa butter is amazing for scars. so today, i bought cocoa butter with shea. how long do you think it will be before i see a difference?and how frequently shoud i put it on?
